
Partnership Agreement Between Mansoura University and the University of Manchester to Launch a Joint International Program in Clinical Pharmacy
As part of its ongoing efforts to internationalize higher education and strengthen academic partnerships, Mansoura University has signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom to launch a joint Bachelor's program in Clinical Pharmacy (PharmD Mansoura – Manchester). The program is set to begin at the Faculty of Pharmacy in the academic year 2025–2026.
This agreement builds on the successful collaboration between the two universities in the Medicine and Dentistry programs and represents a significant step toward providing medical and pharmaceutical education aligned with the highest international standards.
Mansoura University was represented at the signing ceremony by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Atiya El-Bayoumi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Manal Eid, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, who signed the agreement on behalf of the university. The University of Manchester was represented by Professor Ashley Blom, Vice President of the university, along with several academic officials.
Prof. Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, emphasized that the agreement reflects the university’s commitment to supporting Egypt’s national efforts in internationalizing education and preparing graduates capable of competing globally, in line with Egypt Vision 2030.
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Atiya El-Bayoumi noted that the agreement enhances Mansoura University's position as an international academic hub and contributes to developing human capital equipped with future-ready skills.
Prof. Dr. Manal Eid stated that the new program will represent a qualitative leap in clinical pharmacy education in Egypt by offering innovative curricula and a world-class learning experience.
The visit also included extensive meetings with the international relations team at the University of Manchester to explore further opportunities for academic cooperation in other disciplines, supporting the expansion of joint international programs.
This agreement stands as a practical embodiment of Egypt’s Higher Education Strategy, which focuses on student-centered learning and aligning academic outcomes with global labor market demands through accredited international partnerships.
