The Sector in Brief
The sector of Education and Students Affairs in Mansoura University was established as part of the establishment of the University in 1972.
The sector encompasses four general administrations, and a number of units of special nature that provide services to nearly 160,000 male and female students in 18 colleges:
First: general administrations, which are the General Administration of Education and Students Affairs, the General Administration of Students Welfare, the General Administration of University Dorms, and the General Administration of Medical Affairs, General Administration of Education and Students Affairs.
The General Administration of Education and Students Affairs includes four departments: Department of Registration Affairs, Department of Study Affairs, Department of Graduates Affairs, and Department of Examinations Affairs Department. These departments start providing their services for the students once they obtain the secondary school certificate or its equivalent, and extend their services until after the students graduate from the university. Among these services are (establishing the Sortation Office at Mansoura University to receive students who have obtained the secondary school certificate and who apply to take capacity tests in the faculties of “Specific Education: Art and Music Education - Tourism and Hotels - Physical Education - Nursing - Fine Arts"; as well as the Office of Transfers to and from University faculties); (preparing computer-equipped places with internet access to enable the graduates of secondary school and equivalent institutions to submit their applications of admission to the University faculties and higher institutes using the sortation website); (improving the electronic services at the University by developing modern software applications that serve the educational process, such as Ibn-ElHaytham Application for Students Affairs (for Credit Hours Programs) and Ibn-ElHaytham Application for Graduates Affairs; (validating and giving official approval to students’ graduation certificates, and preparing the date of enrolled, transferred, and foreign students.
