Today on Monday Morning, Prof. Khaled Abdel-Ghafaar- Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research visited the buildings of the National Mansoura University at Gamasa City, Dakahlia Governorate. He was accompanied by the followings: Dr. Ayman Mokhtar- Governor of Dakahlia, Prof. Ashraf Abdel-Basset- President of Mansoura University, Prof. Sayed Dadour-President of Damietta University, Prof. Moawad AlKhouly-President of New Mansoura University, Dr. Adel Abdel-Ghafaar-Media Counselor and Official Speaker for the Ministry, Dr. Anwar Ismaiel- Executive Manager of Consulting and Research Fund at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research , and a number of executive and public leaders at Dakahlia governorate. The aim of the visit was to check on the construction works, equipment and implementation rates at the university’s headquarters.

During the visit, the Minister listened to a detailed explanation about the buildings of the university, praising the implementation rates that go according to the agreed schedules and specifications.
The Minister confirmed that the National Mansoura University is the first national university that comes out of a public one. It was founded by the Republic degree No. 42 for the year 2022. It is considered one of the national projects of the higher education at Dakahlia governorate. He noted that it was founded in the framework of the national project that aims to expand the establishment of national universities with international standards according to the instructions of the political leadership, to develop the higher education system in Egypt.
Prof. Abdel-Ghafaar added that the establishment of a new national university in Mansoura aimed to cope with the continuous increase of seeking the higher education, and offer educational opportunities with international standards through offering academic programs that suit the requirements of the labor market locally, regionally and internationally as well as develop the industry area and the surrounded territories.
The Minister pointed out that the Ministry’s plan aims to completing the establishment of 12 new national universities among them is the National Mansoura University and these are the followings: (The National Assiut - The National Bani Sueif - The National Ain Shams- The National Helwan- The National Zagazig- The National Banha – The National Suez Canal- the National East PortSaid- the National South Valley- The National Monofia- The National Minia). He clarified the goal of the Egyptian State towards the establishment of the national universities which is achieving a real and sustainable development in these cities.
Prof. Ashraf Abdel-Basset- President of Mansoura university noted that the National Mansoura University was built on an area of 42 acres, in the 15th of May area in Gamasa city on the Mediterranean coast in the north, and the international coastal road in the south.

Prof. Ashraf Abdel-Basset added that “The National Mansoura University’’ includes 8 faculties which have 27 programs. These programs are divided into three sectors: The Medical Faculties Sector (Medicine- Dentistry- Pharmacy- Nursing), Sector of Engineering and Technological Faculties (Engineering – Health Sciences technology), Sector of Humanities and Administrative Faculties (Economics and administrative sciences – Arts and humanities). There are 10 main buildings which were established, and included the various faculties and the administrative building of the university. The infrastructure of the university was finalized, and currently the process of equipping the laboratories and the educational preparations are about to finish.
Dr. Adel Abdel-Ghafaar, the Media Counselor and the Official Speaker of the Ministry confirmed that the establishment of the National Mansoura University can achieve the Egyptian State’s Vision in raising the education as well as its quality according to the international standards. Further, he pointed out the Minister’s keen on expanding the establishment of national universities and spreading the umbrella of the university’s education throughout the Republic according to the recent international systems, and linking the education process and its outcome with priorities of the labor work on the local, regional and international levels.
