Mansoura University opens 3 electronic test centers with a capacity of 2,400 devices
Within the framework of the state’s strategy to support digital transformation policies and develop the infrastructure of communications and information technology, and in line with the national project to digitize exams, Mansoura University has equipped three centers for electronic exams in the faculties of engineering, medicine and pharmacy, at a total cost of 45 million pounds.
Today, Tuesday, July 6, 2021, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Abdel Basset, President of Mansoura University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Attia Al-Bayoumi, Vice President for Education and Students, inaugurated the electronic test centers in the Faculties of Medicine, Al-Saila, and Engineering.
In the presence of Mr. Fathi Al-Khasht, National Security and the representative of the company executing the project.
The electronic test centers were implemented in line with the national project to digitize exams, where the project was divided into two priorities: the first priority, with a capacity of 2,400 devices, and the second priority, with a capacity of 8600 devices.
Mansoura University has completed the implementation of the first priority, divided into three examination centers with a capacity of 2,400 devices in the faculties of medicine, pharmacy, and engineering at a total cost of 45.359 million pounds, including 42.412 million construction costs, including 31.028 million support for the university, 11.384 million pounds from self-financing, in addition to 2.947 million server costs. High-capacity Center for Communications and Information Technology.
Where the first center and the headquarters of the Faculty of Medicine were opened with a capacity of 750 devices, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Tamer Abu Al-Saad, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Basma Shoman, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs
The second center and the headquarters of the College of Pharmacy with a capacity of 700 devices were also opened in the presence of His Excellency Prof. Manal Eid, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Prof. Rasha Barwa, Vice Dean for Education and Students, Prof. Mohamed Bashir, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Blat, Chancellor of the University and the engineering supervisor of the project, Prof. Yousra Mohamed Al-Far, Director of the Information Technology Unit at the Faculty of Pharmacy
The third center was also inaugurated and the Faculty of Engineering is based, with a capacity of 950 devices, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed El Mahdi, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs.
It is worth noting that all these devices are connected to a main data center and the headquarters of the Communications Technology and Information Technology Center and a sub-information center in each center. The devices are connected to a wired Internet network through a strong network connected to a large number of servers with high capacity, and the centers are equipped with all technical equipment and security and safety requirements And surveillance cameras, and taking into account the unification of the shape of the furniture in all centers in order to represent a distinct shape, helping students to be in an appropriate educational environment.
